Helping animals in need

Any business that just sells items to make money and does not pay it forward, have lost their way. We at The Community Corner SCV are dedicated to helping animals in need. Our goal is to in the next few years have a facility where we can take in horses and dogs, socialize and train them to where they can find good permanent homes. There are so many amazing rescues out there in the trenches getting them out of harm's way, and we salute them. Unfortunately, many times, they can only do just this due to the overwhelming number of horses in need and the extreme financial burden to pay trained, skilled educators. Without the education, the horses adoption options are limited. At the farm we intend on concentrating on the "next step", where we will hand pick, evaluate and give the horses concentrated training over 6 months. No quick flips with holes but one on one instructed, supervised training. The goal is to get to the point where trainers in the US will actually consider them for their programs and students because they fit the mold. Jumpers will school grids and jump round, dressage horses will learn to work on the bit, learn sideways movements and changes, the cow horses will learn basics and be introduced to cattle. This will all be done with ease due to building proper muscles, and without stress because we make them understand without drilling.

You will have public access where you can follow along in the training. These animals will be protected for life with a freeze branding, and a humane euthanasia fund is established to ensure they will never have to endure a cruel ending on a slaughter truck or plane destined for death. Dogs that were once lost will be trained to fit in to homes, one at a time. they will learn to be comfortable with being groomed and handled. Our help does not end when the animals leave us, we will offer training and clinics to people getting these animals. We want to turn the facility in to a real riding school resembling those in Europe, to help young riders become good riders and trainers without the extreme financial burden that is currently on parents. Without the next generation of riders, there is no future for the horses that does not fit the mold of super stars selling for tons of money. What is happening now with horses and dogs in the US is a clear sign of this. Horses should not be just for the wealthy, nor does every rider need a jumper soaring over 5 ft, a massive dressage mover that spooks, or a cutter that will knock you out of the saddle with its athleticism. Real training can go a long way. This mission has been years in the making and as of March 2026, this mission is now in action for fundraising for a start with the first crop in 2028. If you want to donate items to sell and dedicate your proceeds to this cause, or any other worthy organization, you can add their name as financial beneficiary on the consignment forms.

As Dr. Phil says, "you can choose to be a part of the problem or a part of the solution". At The Community Corner SCV we chose to be a part of the solution, one step at a time, one animal at a time.
